A.A.S. Degree in Industrial Health & Safety
Certificate in Industrial Safety

Industrial or occupational health and safety is the science and practice of anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of health hazards arising from the work environment. It includes a range of aspects of health and safety in the workplace, such as, physical injury, on-the-job-stress, and biological and chemical hazards. The Industrial Safety program offers the Associate of Applied Science degree as well as a Certificate in Industrial Safety.

The A.A.S. degree will provide the tools and training for professional success for those already involved in the field of industrial safety and health. It is not intended for those without experience. When combined with experience in the field, the program will provide the knowledge and skills needed to qualify for taking the Safety Fundamentals Exam for certification by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
