Other organizations you belong to: LDS Institute of Religion, Phi Theta Kappa, Honors Program Why Western? They have an amazing theatre program and offered me two full-ride scholarships, I looked into it and loved the school. They have many strong LDS people here and it was a place I knew I would comfortable and be able to learn and grow a lot. Why did you become an ambassador? I didn’t know very much of the school. My first year here I only knew the basement and the theatre, I wanted to know more and I wanted to help people see just how amazing this school is. What is your favorite place on campus? When I am in the theatre by myself on an empty stage and I can just let go. The practice rooms and dance studio are great when the theatre isn’t empty. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I have been unable to give a tour yet! This is my first year as Ambassador so I haven’t had to do a whole lot yet J What are your plans after you graduate from Western? Go…somewhere. Either BYU-Provo, Mesa State or somewhere and earn my BFA in Musical Theatre, then go to Arizona State and get my MFA in Children’s Theatre! What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? In the Spring the theatre department will be putting on “The Secret Garden” and it is one of my favorite musicals so that will be amazing! I also cannot wait until I can take Acting for Musical Theatre 2. Theatre is one of those things that helps with self-discovery and self-discipline, so I can’t wait to continue learning about myself this year. What do you want to do for Spring Break? Go someplace fun. Even if that just means going home to be with my family and friends. |
Why did you become an ambassador? I wanted to share my enthusiasm about everything at Western with perspective students so they can have feel comfortable about their choice in choosing Western if they chose to. What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus is Rushmore Gym on game nights. GO MUSTANGS!! What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I haven’t had to many weird questions. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? After Western I plan to transfer to the University of Wyoming and finish my degree. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? Giving tours and helping out with activities for juniors and seniors trying to figure out where to go to college. What do you want to do for Spring Break? Take a trip to California

Other organizations you belong to: Women’s Soccer Why Western? I decided to come to Western because I love soccer and was given the opportunity to play at a higher level. I knew that if I didn’t come here I would regret it for the rest of my life. Everyone up here is so nice which is hard to find anywhere else. Why did you become an ambassador? I became an ambassador because one of my friends was one last year and she always had stories about how much fun it was. I also wanted to learn more about the school and to be someone that could be a good example for those students that are looking into coming here. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? No one has ever really asked me a strange question during a tour. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? My plans are to move back to Utah and to finish my education somewhere closer to home. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? I look forward to meeting new people and to learn as much as I can while still at Western. What do you want to do for Spring Break? For Spring Break I want to spend time with my family out in the sun.

Other organizations you belong to: Women’s Soccer, Institute Counsel Why Western? I chose Western because it is close to home and I had the opportunity to play on the women’s soccer team. What is your favorite place on campus? The third floor because it is very quiet and clean. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? The strangest question that I have been asked was if my roommate was hot or if I had a boyfriend. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? My plans are to get my massage therapy license in Utah. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? I look forward to meeting new people and to get more students to come here. What do you want to do for Spring Break? Go on a cruise or what will most likely happen spend time with my family and hang out with my beautiful niece.

Like most high school students I procrastinated until basically the last second to even think about where I wanted to go! I never really gave it much thought of where I was going to go and one day me and one of my best friends just decided to come to Western and here we are. Why did you become an ambassador? I was looking for another job on campus and I had heard what Ambassadors did and I thought it would be fun to be a student that encouraged students to attend WWCC because I have loved every second of being here and think it’s a great school to start out with right out of high school. What is your favorite place on campus? Hmm… I actually really love the Atrium. I love all the windows and if you go at night when no one is around all of the flags make these little sounds from hitting the bricks and I think it’s pretty sweet!! What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I don’t think I have ever gotten any strange questions and if I have I don’t remember. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? As of right now I am either planning on attending USU or BYU Idaho, I am more so leaning to USU but we will see. So far I plan on continuing in Accounting and possibly going on to be a CPA but I have thought about completely changing my major so it’s still up in the air! What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? Being a Student Ambassador I am excited to be able to give tours to different schools and students who are interested in attending Western and I hope I can help with their decision to actually attend Western in the following year. What do you want to do for Spring Break? Spring Break is the best!! I have all sorts of things I would like to do, like go to Mesquite, Vegas, Moab! Really I am cool with doing just about anything as long as I am chilling with my friends from Western since it’ll be our last chance together.

Why Western? Western is a great place to start off the college experience. There are small class sizes, helpful teachers, and you get a great education for a good price. Why did you become an ambassador? I wanted to help people get to know their way around Western and feel a little more comfortable about starting college. What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place is the T-Rex grill because they have good food that is not expensive. I can just sit down there and do my homework while I eat lunch or breakfast. I also see a lot of my friends there that I can stop and talk to. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? How many restrooms are there on campus and where are all of them? What are your plans after you graduate from Western? I want to get my Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Wyoming. After that, I hope to move to Forest Grove, Oregon to become an optometrist. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? Meeting new people and more interesting classes. Classes last year were fun, but they were just generals. This year I have more specialized classes that are more focused on my major and my goals. What do you want to do for Spring Break? I want to go to California for Spring Break and do some scuba diving.

Year: Sophomore Why Western? I chose to come here because of the Theatre Department, and the small size. It is difficult to come by a school that can offer such hands on experience, even in your first year. Why did you become an ambassador? Because I love this school and I want to be able to show others how great it truly is. Also, it is a job which = money! :) What is your favorite place on campus? One of my favorite places on campus is the theatre, because it feels magical, but I also love the library. The library is so open and bright, and I love the way it feels when I am in there. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I haven't been able to give a tour yet. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? I plan to transfer and continue my Musical Theatre Degree. After I feel that I have enough education and training under my belt, I'll start looking for jobs and opportunities. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? I am mostly looking forward to being able to build stronger friendships, and learning more about myself and who I am. What do you want to do for Spring Break? If I could do anything I would either go visit New York or Disneyland.

Why Western? I was impressed by their theatre program. A program that encouraged me to come here by offering a scholarship. Why did you become an ambassador? It seems like a great way to empower this school for incoming students. What is your favorite place on campus? The backstage of the theatre, it's calming to be back there during the run of a show. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I haven't been on a tour so I don't know. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? I will move to a University to finish my Bachelor's Degree What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? I am most looking forward to working on and opening the shows for this year. What do you want to do for Spring Break? I plan on going on a road trip along the West Coast.

I chose western out of several schools because of the amazing opportunities it created for me to play soccer, get a great education, and get my schooling paid for. Western has challenged me and created so many chances for me to grow as a person in school and in life. After touring the school in the spring of 2010, I knew it would be a great fit for me. Why did you become an ambassador? I wanted to become an ambassador so I would be able to reach out to future prospects of western and help them to see what a great facility Western is and how many great opportunities are available here. I knew that in becoming an ambassador I would be able to get involved with the school and also help others in the process. What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus would probably be the soccer field or the library. I think both of these places are my favorite because they are areas where I can just clear my head and get my best thinking done. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? Hmm… I would have to say, if I liked cows. That was a pretty interesting question What are your plans after you graduate from Western? I plan to go to Utah State University and get my masters degree and then transfer to the University of Utah to complete the physical therapy program there. I would also like to try and become a transfer ambassador at Utah State and continue to help people in that way. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? I would have to say probably the school dances, basketball games, and meeting new people. Those are three of my favorite things. What do you want to do for Spring Break? For spring break this year I plan to go to Florida with a bunch of friends and maybe go to Disneyworld.

When I came on my recruiting trip for basketball, I received a tour of the campus and during the tour, it was one of those rare, beautiful, windless days and I fell in love with it. I was walking back from seeing the dorms and knew that it was the place to be. The location was awesome, the people are fantastic, and they have excellent programs here. Why did you become an ambassador? I became an ambassador because I wanted to represent Western Wyoming Community College. I wanted to get to know the school better and I wanted to wear a name tag that affiliated me with this superb school. What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus is most definitely the gymnasium. I spend so much time there that I feel right in my comfort zone. It is my safe haven where I know that it is always open and no one will reject me. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? N/A What are your plans after you graduate from Western? I will look to see if I can and want to play on but if not, my plan is to go to Utah State in Logan Utah, finish my degree get hitched! What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? I am looking forward to finishing my associates after this year. I am also looking forward to the Christmas season and getting past finals! What do you want to do for Spring Break? For spring break I am either going to go to California and spend time at the beach or go to Vegas and work on my tan or go to the National Basketball Tournament!

Why Western? I came to Western Wyoming Community College, because the soccer coach recruited me to play for his team. I was debating on a few colleges at the time, but Western simply fit. I really took an appreciation for the beautiful facilities and nice living options. It is one of the nicest campuses that I have seen, so it was really a bonus that I ended up going to school here. Why did you become an ambassador? I decided to become a student ambassador, because I was interested in getting more involved, meeting people, and promoting Western Wyoming Community College in the best way possible. What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus is probably the soccer fields and the library. I would have to say the library, because it is an excellent place to study in peace. Also, it has a lot to offer such as: online databases, secluded study areas, computers and much more. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I have had a lot of interesting questions, but none come to mind as being the strangest questions asked. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? My plans after I graduate from Western include completing my bachelors at a four year school (unsure at this point about which one), and then hopefully get into medical school. Once in medical school, I will complete that in approximately four years and then head to my residency where I will specialize in Orthopedic Surgery. After completing my doctorate, I plan to travel all over the world and start a family. I would also like to volunteer my doctoring abilities to those in need. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? I am most looking forward to meeting new people and establishing more life-long friendships. What do you want to do for Spring Break? I would love to travel to Greece, Australia, and Rome for Spring break. J

Other organizations you belong to: I’m in the theatre shows, of course, since I am in theatre as a major. I am also an RA which is very fun! And I am on the institute council. Why Western? Well, the theatre program here is really great and that is what drew me here in the first place. I also got a full ride scholarship from my academics and my theatre audition as well. Then I came on campus for the first time and I just loved this little town! Plus, the campus is pretty decent sized which I love. All of the people are really nice. Why did you become an ambassador? I became one because I saw the tables all set up outside the admissions office and I really wanted to see what was up. Then I realized that it was the thing a girl named Kylie did for me when she gave me a tour and I knew that I wanted to be a part of it! What is your favorite place on campus? Probably…eh, I dunno! I love all of it. I guess I could say my favorite is the walking path behind the school. I like to walk there a lot and I’ve had a lot of fun with the RA's there and other friends. I can see a lot of Rock Springs walking there and that’s nice. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I haven’t really been asked any strange questions to be honest. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? I am doing one of two things. Transferring to the University of Utah to get my bachelors. Or I am going to sail around the world on a ship. They are both up in the air and I am looking into both of those options. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? Being in shows and making new friends. Making new friends is really important to me this year! I think being friendly and kind is something I really want to be a part of and I hope I can make friends to help me with that! What do you want to do for Spring Break? Probably go to New York City, or Disneyland.

Why did you become an ambassador? I wanted to become an ambassador because I talked to other girls on my basketball team and realized that it was a good experience and chance to help others. I would be able to interact with prospective students. What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus would most definitely be the dorms. I have created lasting friendships on campus and it has been such a learning experience to be out on my own. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I have only given one tour so far ... so no weird questions the best is yet to come! What are your plans after you graduate from Western? I plan on going on to a four-year university and continuing an education as a secondary education major with an emphasis in English. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? I am looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends. I am also excited for the upcoming basketball season and a chance to graduate from Western Wyoming Community College. What do you want to do for Spring Break? A friend and I from High School are going to Hawaii!!

Why did you become an ambassador? I became an ambassador because I wanted a way to become more involved. I wanted to become affiliated with more things that Western had to offer. I also needed to get a job on campus, so in turn ambassador worked perfectly. What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus would have to be the gym and Mitchell's. I love the gym because I spend so much time there and the Rushmore Gymnasium is an awesome place to be. It stands for hard work and dedication. I love Mitchell's because it is always such a social event. You get to eat lunch with a whole bunch of friends, and meet new people every day...what could be better?? What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I have not had any strange questions quite yet....but I am looking forward to it. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? I am not 100% sure what I am going to do after Western. If I don't continue on with athletics, I am going to go to school in Utah and finish out my school at one of their universities. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? I am looking forward to attending the extra-curriculum activities and being involved. Not to mention.... Having the time of my life, and being crazy with all of my friends! WOO! What do you want to do for Spring Break? For spring break I am hoping to go to Hawaii with a group of friends! If that doesn't work out, I would like to go on some type of trip, somewhere warm, with some friends.

Work for a while and then back to school to get a bachelor’s degree. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? To go to class. What do you want to do for Spring Break? Hopefully some camping, fishing or skiing.

Why did you become an ambassador? I became an ambassador in 2010. I wanted to be more involved in our school and get the word out that this is a great school to go to. What is your favorite place on campus? I love the library. I spend most of my time their, the nursing lab, or the wellness center. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I haven't been asked too many strange questions ....yet. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? I plan on working at the hospital here in RS for 2 years while I get my bachelors online. Then I will move to Denver. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year?I'm excited about all of our fun events! Plus I graduate this May!! What do you want to do for Spring Break? I plan on going to Denver to visit family and some friends.

Why did you become an ambassador? I became an ambassador because I knew of some friends that had done it the previous year and really enjoyed it. I asked them what it was all about and it seemed like a really good program. I think that Western is a really good school and I like the opportunity to be able to represent it. What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus is the Hay library. I don’t have a computer so I feel like I practically live in there. I also love to go to the back rooms to study in the peace and quiet. What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? I have only given one tour so far this semester and I don’t recall any unusual questions. What are your plans after you graduate from Western? After I graduate I plan to attend the University of Wyoming and get my bachelor’s degree in special education. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? The thing that I am looking forward to most in the upcoming year is graduation! What do you want to do for Spring Break? For spring break I just want to go home and relax, spending time with my family.

I want everyone to know why Western is the best. What is your favorite place on campus? No that I'm partial, but I love the theatre! What are your plans after you graduate from Western? I am transferring to Utah Valley University and majoring in Deaf Studies. I want to become a sign language interpreter. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? Being involved and getting students to love Western! What do you want to do for Spring Break? Go to New York! |
Why Western? I chose Western because it provides an outstanding 2 year college education and meets my financial needs. I feel the small college atmosphere provides a great transition from high school to college life. Why did you become an ambassador? I became an ambassador because I truly love Western and want to do all I can to support it to others. What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus would be the gym. I love to go and support the different athletic events! What is the strangest question someone has asked you during a tour? N/A What are your plans after you graduate from Western? After Western I plan to attend University of Wyoming and finish my degree with a major in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Education. What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? I am most looking forward to meeting the new incoming students to Western and the many events held on campus. What do you want to do for Spring Break? I would love to spend my Spring Break in Laramie, Wyoming looking for apartments for next year. I am excited to tour the campus and see where I will be spending my next two years. |
Why Western? It is has a great environment for international students, at a reasonable price, awesome faculty member and with the best education ever. Why did you become an ambassador? I wanted to become an Ambassador because I always like to help others, make them feel comfortable, and I like to lead as well as being an example for others. What is your favorite place on campus? Being a Student Ambassador means being involved. We can answer questions about admissions, financial aid, housing, academic programs, and student activities. We also assist in with events, Registration Programs, and campus tours. Western's Student Ambassadors are selected through a competitive process to represent the students of WWCC.
