After spending my childhood happily ensconced in Miles City, Montana, I decided to be adventurous and experience a new and exciting part of the United States. In 1990, I moved to Arkansas where I took pleasure in the people and the warm climate, while I earned my master's degree in Counseling at the University of Arkansas.
Although I thoroughly enjoyed my time "down South" my heart remained in the North, so in 1996, my family moved to Rock Springs where I was fortunate to be offered a professional position at WWCC; I became the counselor in the Student Development Center. After spending three years as the counselor, I accepted the SDC director's position in 1999, a job that is challenging and very fulfilling. Each semester, I also teach classes and present workshops on topics that include time management, stress management, and date rape.
I so enjoy connecting with students, faculty and staff. One of my greatest professional pleasures is knowing that I have the opportunity to positively affect the lives of people here on a daily basis.
I am a licensed professional counselor in Wyoming as well as a nationally certified counselor. Because of my interest in domestic abuse and children's issues, I donate what little free time I have to two important local organizations. Currently, I serve on the YWCA's Support and Safe House advisory board and have just been appointed to the board of directors for Sweetwater Family Resource Center.
