* The 1870 Census does not list any Chinese living in Rock Springs. The total population for Uinta County in 1870 was 856. Sweetwater counties total population was 1,923. Both counties were from border to border (i.e. Utah/Colorado to Montana) in 1870. The figure of 1,923 was a total of numbers listed within the census summary for 1870 (9th Census of the U.S.).
